Ageing at Home

Challenges and Opportunities at the Interface between Housing Management and Residents

Ageing in place requires appropriate housing forms and a variety of needs-based services with well-functioning interfaces. The property management branch must meet this rapidly growing challenge and recognise the particular chances for action it presents, as well as to develop or optimise the corresponding products and processes.

The project focuses on the role, demands, options and the service provisions that need to be promoted in dealing with aging and elderly tenants from the perspective of property management. This involves the development and testing of process models with various property-management participants – caretakers and rental and administration professionals.

The aim is to make the organisational forms of managerial and service practices more efficient and more effective. This entails the development, together with our partners, of new housing and service products that are then to be tested and realised in market-based pilot projects.
