Hubert Klumpner

Hubert Klumpner has been Professor of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Department of Architecture since August 2010.
 
He was born on 22 December 1965 in Salzburg, Austria. 
 
Hubert Klumpner completed his studies at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna with Professor Hans Hollein and worked with Enrique Miralles and Paul Rudolph. In 1995 he received his Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University in New York. He has been a member of the German Chamber of Architects since 1997.
 
In 2007 he taught as a visiting professor at the Graduate School of Architecture and Planning at Columbia University. There he is co-founder of the Sustainable Living Urban Model Laboratory (S.L.U.M. Lab).
 
Hubert Klumpner is a regular guest critic and guest lecturer at various architectural institutes such as GSD in Boston, AEDES in Berlin, UCV in Caracas, UMSA in Miami, Berlage in Rotterdam, FAU in São Paulo, and University of California, Los Angeles.
